i would apply them first...then apply the heat to them...if you heat them as they are going on..if you make a mistake there is no way of getting them off easily.

i suggest cutting about 25mm wide strip out of the backing paper to allow you to position the sticker on yout bodywork..once you are happy then remove the backing paper working from the middle to the edge making sure you get air bubbles out..rub it down well then get the hair drier on to it to seal it down..stick a pin an any air bibbles that come up...takes a bit of time but worth it in the long run.
