You ask 'How on earth can a non talented driver spend their way to the front with tyres. Most of the TKM grid have new tyres anyway...'

That's where you are wrong, most of the grid at club rounds don't have new tyres every meeting because they know that they can stretch the usage of the slicks. If the new slicks come in then they will have to have new slicks to stand a chance of keeping up.

Then you state 'Also you can't compare a rotax to a TKM on red slicks. People are quick to assume with the red slicks yet they haven't even tried them so how can they make these opinions.'

Well is not harder to drive a kart, car, truck, motorbike with a harder compound tyre compared to a softer compound tyre? Now I'll be gob smacked if you tell me it's easier but assuming you agree that it's harder then that alone proves that there is more skill required to drive with a harder compound, hence the reason for TKM being known as a class with skilful drivers.

You then state 'People are stuck in the past with TKM, where what used to be a good class has now died down due to hardly any improvements. Cadets want to move to a class where the karts look better, the engines can be turned on by a switch and decent tyres.'

That's just a mixture of plain snobbery, materialistic fashion conscious people and laziness. When I race I race to be the best driver. Looks and to a lesser extent convenience are an unimportant accessory.
