The fact is that a kart with grippier tyres is easier to drive and therefor some of the emphasis of driver skill is lost on a grippier kart. What it means is that there will be more margin for error, a greater cost and not so talented drivers being able to spend their way to the front in greater numbers than there is now.

From an image point of view it destroys the class statement that TKM puts the emphasis on driver skill as the reality is that it's going in the opposite direction. I think Tal-Ko needs to think about where it wants TKM to be.

At the moment these changes appear to be trying to satisfy Blue and Rotax racers but if they hit middle ground then they might find that the class has no individual identity anymore which could kill the class completely as it won't have enough appeal to a Rotax, Blue or TKM racer.

I like the idea of TAG, but softer tyres are a step too far in my opinion.
