So by extrapolation, by knowing what "rich" jet to use to be safe, if you test and adapt your "rich setting indicator" to your engine/carb combination would you not come-up with a competitive combination?
If it can be employed to be safe in the air, why couldn't it be employed to be fast on the ground? You're contradicting yourself there!
BTW it was neither flattery nor bribery, John and I have shared a (not the same) can of Stella. Unfortunately we live so far apart that we don't get the repeat opportunity as often as (I certainly) would like. One thing I know is that I'd rather leave him to concentrate on writing 40000 lines of code on fluid dynamics and I'll just use the fruits of his work!
