When I used that type of clutch I suffered a similar range of failures for no apparent reason. I did cure the problem of the triangular ring breaking by dumping it in favour of the washers used in the older clutch available in thr Rotax clutch service pack. It appears as though when the pivot posts or the shoe pivot holes wear you get failures even had a series of spring breakages so attention to cleaning and lubeing the piviot posts is essential. Better still change to the new clutch and balance gears, which for me at least, have proved trouble free since january.
