My son did racing for buttons approx 2 years ago before progressing to racing and it's the best way to get the experience you need to pass the ARKS test. It's between 5pm and 8pm every Monday night but it alternates between drivers with their own karts and those who don't. Howevere, it's so popular if you go to get a drive in the tracks Honda karts you will probably only get 3 laps at this time of year.

If you want to see if your son really likes it I would recommend arranging a track session with JM who operate the hire karts at the track. I think it's £20 for 15 minutes. This is what we did and then bought a kart so that we could take it to buttons.

The number for Gary Walker who runs buttons is 01623 662218.

JM number is 01636 626424

Good luck!
