not only ileagal but very dangeous too.
the fumes created in the drain couls surface anywhere down stream of where you pored it and cause an explosion wherever the fumes migate to.
pertol station drains have to have fuel interceptors fitted to catch all rain water as this may wash spilt fuel into the drainage system causing problems like the above.

the enviroment agency and SEPA in scotland would thake this as a serious breach of law and they always prosicute to the maximum alowed by law.
