Russell - sorry - but I'm with Alan on this - The problem with dropping this discussion now is its not even slightly resolved, however boring TKMers find it... Illegal or not? Grease or not grease? Old or new clutch? new o ring and bearing or not? I want a resolution that LEVELS THE PLAYING FIELD but currently it seems to me a laughable FARCE. Or am I interpreting it wrongly? JAG (There's no advantage from grease- HAH!) BRP (No comment on grease but even more new parts available- pay up - HAH!) MSA (Unless it says you can you can't, but no definite ideas on how to control a material that could legitimately be there already- HAH!) National meetings (Airport type restrictions on liquids in parc ferme but still you hear the clutches slip - HAH!) Clubs (We'll make up our own rules to stop something that we don't even know is illegal but when we do catch people at it we won't do anything about it - HAH HAH !!) They are all apparently running around independently without a plan... They should put it on the stage - "Whoops there goes UK's most popular Kart class" I dont care what they do anymore as long as they all agree a direction and it can be policed adequately. Once this is sorted, I am sure the real cheats will look for something else to gain an advantage from, and those of us who just want to do the best we can within the rules will get back to the racing.
p.s. could Harry the cat get back to me on the kingpin thread - ta.
