All what standing starts will acheive is people putting on stupidly big sprockets so they get a rocket start and then defend from there on in.

The current system is fine, it just requires more effort from the observors. I've seen Club 100 pick out the exact people who cause the loading at the first corner on a 30+ grid and blak flag them, and they're all in identical looking karts and 1 number plate on the nassau. MSA has the luxury of 4 number plates, different colour pods and shape of bodywork and they still miss it!

Rant over (puts on internet bashing proof suit and hides in bunker).
