Well, if you keep the power valve cleaned and adjusted corectly, a bellows will last well over a year.

If you take the spring out when you are not using the kart and put a piece of fuel pipe under the back of the bellows to lift it, it will last forever.

Just clip the spring around the wire cap retainer and write a note on a piece of cardboard and loop it on the throttle pedal so that you remember to put the spring back in.

The old red ones are very soft and floppy and lose their spring.

What happens to the ones that last 5 minutes?

Have a good look at your power valve blade to see if it is catching on the sides. You will see this as a shiny spot if you look down the power valve slot.

It will give some very wierd faults as it catches and releases.

If it is catching on one side, push the backplate sideways, away from where it is catching, as you tighten the Allen bolts down, to see if that helps.
