Because the manufacturer BRP-Rotax says it does - end of debate!

and then you say;

"I think there will be lots of people running 50ml"

Why would that be Alan? and why pick 50ml, is that just because it was 50ml before with the plastic gears? hardly a sound engineering principle!

Are these the same people who will be paying a big bill themselves if the gears fail rather than asking Rotax to do it for free under the warranty scheme?
