The your kart will have the seat offset to the LHS slightly and this will counter act the weight of the engine on the RHS.

12 kg is quite a lot to add. You are not allowed to put the lead in the side pods. On the seat or on the frame where at the base of the stearing column is the usual place.

Weight distribution front to back should be about 37.5:62.5 Front to back. Left to Right 50:50.
