Only reason for the comparision was that it would make the lap times between the two, too similar and given that the reason Max took off and has taken off so well, is the whole "willy waving" aspect of mine is faster than yours.

People are, and were prepared to pay the higher start up costs because it was faster.

As others have said, the fast engines are usually driven by fast drivers with good mechanics.
