I have been watching this forum for a while regarding the slipping clutches and i think if the MSA wanted to they could sort this out in a very short space of time.
If teams are resorting to some of the methods described, ie welding, gluing and machining the clutches etc it should be pretty easy to spot when stripped down. If someone is found to have modified a clutch in this way then start imposing serious penalties on people competing, a year ban for instance.
It might take a couple of people to be made an example of but it would soon stop people taking the p$%s out of people who are playing by the rules.
