When I was a Motorcycle Instructor I downloaded some rather graphic images from the WWW showing a normal non-complicated fracture of an or leg and then another showing a similar fracture complicated by " gravel rash" as a result of sliding down the road at 50+ without suitable protective clothing,needless to say i had pretty good sales of clothing as well. I once refused point blank to do a CBT for a girl who turned with a skirt on to learn how to ride her moped.

I find it amazing that even the hire/leisure kart places let people on the track in shorts and without gloves let alone "proper " tracks.
