Not at all!
I could say that you implied all Whingers on this site need to spend more time on racing and then they'll overcome the cheats! Except that would be stupid of me and it's not what you were trying to say - I think!
What I was trying to say and maybe put it badly was, you can spend lots more time on your racing as you suggest Whingers could do, but that does not mean you're necessarily going to overcome those that cheat. Unless there's a formula that says the more you race as a non cheat the more you'll win. Conversely, there isn't a forumla that says the more you cheat = the more you win regardless of how much racing non-cheats do!
So I certainly WAS NOT trying to imply that the only way to win was to cheat.
Listen - we're all/both agreed that Paul's job is an invidious one and it's not 100% perfect. We're also agreed that people have cheated in the past, cheat now and will cheat in the future whatever the regs, rules, punishments for getting caught etc. NOT saying it's right because it isn't but it is a human characteristic for some (that's some not the majority) to cheat and short of having the same chassis, a pool of engines and parts which get taken away after each meeting, OH and a person to oversee each mechanic at each meeting performing on their kart - the practice will continue.
It's not an issue for us per se as my son decided he wasn't interested in the sport after 5 years shortly before S1 and whatever my feelings about that - stnad by him. But as I said, Ihope that whoever wins does us by fair means not foul and that the good work of Paul et al helps to make that happen.
