isn't the point of them to ensure that all engine are equal - therefore if you have already spent the money to get a good one you won't need the 09 barrel, if you were not bothered before about the extra tenth, then you don't need to worry.

Maybe the 09 barrels are better than the bad previous, buy equal to the best others
