Chris,

This is racing and rumour mill will be working overtime on this one especially with Super1 and Stars about to start.

Rotax have always said that the CNC barrels will bring all engines up to the same level as a "good" engine. Which if you think about it makes sense as all we are talking about is even finer tolerances and in the case of the JNR barrel no grinding to the ports, which has caused a lot of problems in that class.

The bottom line is all those rumours about this engine or that engine being sold for megga amounts will disappear overnight as anyone can now be assured on a "top engine" out of the box, until of course the next rumour LOL

ps. I spoke to my engine builder at length just after they had got there first batch of new barrels which they had tested on there dyno and I will NOT be buying a new barrel any time soon, lets seen how we get on at the next meeting!
