just chuck a load of those bolts you have left over from the last strip down you did mate!

if i see you sniffing round my kart ill know your after robbing the o-ring!

the only thing i can think of as a temporary measeure is putting cloth over it and securing with a band as you would a jam jar,then put the lid on top

not ideal though.i guess you would have to make sure that no bits will come off the cloth and get into the tank.....actually,its a rubbish idea isnt it!
