Don't expect a valid answer from JAG or Rotax.

It's took over ten years of moaning to get a new clutch so I expect another ten years to get a proper answer.

The new clutch runs hotter so you will any lubricant used in the needle roller will be subject to this heat.

You have to remember that the greases used as per the Rotax manual were designed for a bl00dy moped and being to$$ed around at 15,000 rpm wasn't on their remit and things haven't improved as far as I can see.

If you don't use a lubricant on the needle roller then you will quickly **** the crank, they'd LOVE that!

Surely they wouldn't suggest that, would they? OH, I don't know.

So what do you use?

Try using any of the HMP's and you still have the problem of 'fling'.

It will migrate out of either end of the bearing and stop at any place that impedes its progress, THE BL00DY CLUTCH DRUM!!! is the first point of call.

This has now turned into a ******* JOKE with these clutches.

It's gone from a few people lubricating them, to every poor s0d who has a smidge of grease on the drum being excluded.

To those who are policing this, for Christ's sake use your bl00dy intelligence.

You are once again in danger of ******* this sport right up.

NONE of you appear to have ANY engineering background bar CR who is the most intelligent one I ever spoken to, and some of the bilge I hear from some of you is breathtaking.

Rotax don't give Jack **** about how the new clutch performs and there isn't a lubricant on this earth that will totally stay in that needle roller.

IF it's clean when you go out then anything that ends up on the drum by the time you come in is solely due to the way mechanical things opererate, not that I expect anyone to grasp that.

The idea of using a NYLON bearing appalls me, you might as well cut up a plastic tampon applicator and use THAT!

They don't last under the stress they are sunjected to unless you LUBRICATE them TOO.

I haven't got a clue who ScoobyScene but at least he's not a gutless ba$tard hiding behind a woman's skirts.

Like I've said before, there's only a couple out there with any talent and that must really stick in the craw of those who are rubbish.

The guy is quite open about things and is the victim of stupidity on all sides.

I hate stupidity and this continuing saga is set to go down in the an(n)als of karting history as one of the greats.

Well done ScoobysScene, people HATE winners, it's a British trait.

Don't start speilling all this rubbish about 'it's the rules', there's an in between that the ones amonst us who are gifted with 'Grey Matter' use in circumstances where the rules are for wiping your butt on.

As for what to use in the bearing, try ear wax, it seems to stay put and turn many people deaf.

I'll get my coat.
