If the valve is set right, you will barely feel it kick in. The valve should theoretically kick in at 7.5k RPM. You'll have to go out and do some testing to get it set perfect.

There are 2 power curves, one with the valve open and one with it shut. At 7.5K the curves cross, this is the point where the valve should open (hence why you can't feel it kick in as much, switches to the curve smoothly).
