It will help you understand whats happening when you are on track.

Its a good tool at the track coz it can tell you all is working or not working.

you can use g force data for example to tell you about
braking performance
how the motor is pulling
how the tires are performing on all corners
how the driver hits apex (ie late or early etc)
how the drivers throttle and brake control is

so thats just one sensor using raw data with no math channel.

howeva the software will tell you nothing if you cant read it so get ready to learn
