youre assuming that the engine is mounted dead square on the mounting bracket, if its not{and many are not}then you had just as well put youre steel rule and youre lazer in the nearest bin cos the sprockets will not run true what ever you do.best to remove the plug {earth it}and rotate the engine watching how the links fall onto the axle sprocket.When they are falling centraly thats as good as youre going to get .Pop
