when racing on the weekend i was pulled aside by one of the officials who told me that i was right on the noise limit.

during that race the exhaust was not sealed to the engine. i also run the new style airbox and support bracket. the excess bolt from the airbox is located in the airbox bracket holes but i didnt secure them together with a nut. also the airbox to carb "rubber bit" was not seated perfectly and looked a bit pulled away from the airbox.

so when i got back to the pits i resealed the ehaust flange to engine. i added a nut to the airbox bolts connected to the bracket and did it up tight. i also could perfect the "rubber bit" location so i gaffer taped the "rubberbit" to the airbox.

before the final i asked one official to get the noise scrute to keep an eye on me. i finished the final and wasnt pulled in for being noisey.

it would seem that some of what i did worked.

i know it may be a vague question but what could have been the cause of me being a noisy bug*er and what else could i do to rectify the problem.

also are there ways you can use to quieten the max futher. if needed?
