There is no insulting going on, & I'm sure that Itpro would not consider it as such. He holds the view that the Walbro is a poor carb compared to the Tillotson, and I take the opposite view. So when he is critical of the Walbro, I try to give a balanced viewpoint.
To address your specific question, they are probably adjusting the mixture screw, because nobody these days pinches the fuel line! If everything is as it should be, there is no need to employ such tactics anyway, a correctly set up engine & carb should not flood up!
