Both will record you lap time, temp and revs. After that it depends on how much time you have to analyse the extra data.
Just copying your lap times, revs and temperature for every practice session and race heat will be quite a task - but very useful.
Downloading from the Mychron to your computer will require a data stick but then you need the time to analyse the data. Unless you have a team supporting you then at a race meeting you probably won't use the data. The GPS add-ons look great but use batteries like mad and you still need the time to look at the data.
