Graham, sounds a bit high to me - have you measured it at that?
The reason I ask is our 100cc STD (which was seriously noisy) clocked 97dB(A) @ approx. 3m, the Max's were noticably lower but I didn't take a reading.
I hasten to add the meter was only a type 2 but had been calibrated so should have been somewhere near.
