Well you set up the end float with the spacers/shims you put behind the main bearings.

If your replacing the main bearings just put back the shims you find if any.. obviously if you have loads of side side movmnt then you will need to mesure it with a feeler gauge between the crank and the crankcase & put afew more shims in behind the New bearing.

If you have loads of up & down movmnt which is common with tkm motors then your crank shaft journals are badly worn.
