Sadly, there seems to be NO definitive answer! The main reason being is that both a little shower on a hot May day and a TORRENT running across the track in January would BOTH be called 'wet'... but they differ WILDLY in the 'tyre needs'!

Go and have a look on the 'General' forum; we can't even agree if Magnesium WHEELS make a difference or EXACTLY what that difference IS!

However, the argument goes that, to get the tyres warm, you need to narrow the 'contact patch' so that the 'heat' is focused into a smaller area. You can do that by raising the pressure and by narrowing the wheel rims.

You could argue that you don't need to make it HOTTER on a showery, warm day but you DO need to get as much heat in as you possibly CAN on a Wet January race.

However, I'd be a fool to tell Tal-Ko they are talking TRIPE about the right choice!.....

Oooh... I don't know, though.....

Ian
