Hold on!

You ask if I would have paid £140 for such a motor. The answer is NO...... nor would I have been willing to pay £125 for it..... but YOU were!

From my point of view, the bloke who GOT it was bonkers but so were YOU bidding THAT much for it on the basis of the information that you had! Perhaps 'matey' had written to the owner and had been emailed further details that the 'daft' seller had not told us in his 'advert'. How about if it had just had a rebuild but the seller hadn't mentioned it? Wouldn't THAT explain it? How am I supposed to separate the two of you, you don't look significantly different to me!

You seem to be INSISTING that YOU had some way of KNOWING that it was worth EXACTLY £125 but the other bloke was BONKERS (or bent) paying £140 for it..... I simply can't see that!

Personally, it just sounds as though you are angry that you LOST it! That's a normal reaction but it is not fair or realistic to jump to the conclusion that the deal was 'bent' JUST becasue YOU didn't get it! That would mean that I have been the subject of TENS OF THOUSANDS of 'bent' deals for all the things that I have failed to 'win' over the years!

If you do get angry about this type of thing... then my advice to you is: do NOT go to auctions.... you'll end up 'Mr Angry'.... a bit like me!
