Well.....if money is no problem, give it a try. There is some evidence to suggest that it may be better to float, but perhaps its only better than a fixed disc that isn't running quite true, or on karts with a soft axle allowing the disc to be at an angle to the pads. But the standard Sidewinder brake is a good unit that has won many races, so if you're having trouble in the braking zone, I think its most likely that either you have a brake fault or a left foot fault!
