Once you have made the choice of high or low, the only way of knowing "how far to go with the gaskets" is to use a 0-50mm DTI to check the port opening/closing dimensions with the fiche dimensions. the rules may permit up to 0.060" of gaskets, but in practice you can't actually use anywhere near that amount.
