Change from a k27 to k98 needle

Hi im been told that a k98 needle is leaner bottom end to 3/4 throttle?

is this true as i want to keep my main jet but get a better pull bottom end as its boggin.

or am i totally wrong here.
using a 12.5 carb with 5.2 floats 168 main

what performance is there netween the 2 needles?
