We went on the idea that lower pressures mean the side walls can move more, therefore generating more heat and thus, more grip. Problem is, because Red Lodge's surface is like glass for over half the lap, the tyres just glide across the surface, so my assumption would be that the sidewalls aren't moving as much as the same pressures would give at, say, Kimbolton.

Am I right, or am I way off the mark??

Please bear in mind I, like Ben, am used to ICC Dunlops, and have NEVER raced TKM or used Maxxis tires before.
