when I did a year in 2007 I spent 3,500 but I only did 5 rounds. So for 6 rounds you are looking at about 4.2k.

I didn't own my own engines, which may have added expense. For a sensible budget I'd say about 5k. 7k would be a nice budget, but I'm sure if you ran with a team and did lots of club races you could blow 25k.

All depends on what you want out of it, and what you can afford. You could probably even do it on 2k!
