the person doing the readings. Provided that it is a class A burette, and the pilot remembers the basics about meniscus position and lining the marks up on the reading, there is no reason why a digital should be better than a manual reading.

It's all a question of technique, which is why analytical chemists still use glass burettes. Fancy electronics is no substitute for good technique. Same with karting, I guess..
