I believe I have seen somwhere that the new gears reqquire 100ml of oil.If this is the case, then like alanrr, I would have thought that as long as one gear was dipping in the oil would be enough.The biggest load on the gears is surely driving the balance shaft and sudden reversals of load caused by locking the wheels and different characteristics of the new clutch may have been too much for the allready marginal plastic gears. IMHO
