One of the main things i would say boosts costs up are tyres (other than bodywork).
I'll take gearbox for example, you used to be able to buy none cik 6" tyres for around £100 which were nearly half the price of the cik 6" tyres which are around £190 a set which ever tyre manufacturer you choose.
Exactly the same in other classes, just had cik molded into the wall. I suspect its only the same in other classes, is it really needed that we have all the tyres done in a certified mold?
The classes have been allowed to expand far too much. When i first started you had; Comer Cadets, Jnr TKM, Yamaha, Jica, Snr TKM, ICA, FA, 125 Gearbox, 250 Gearbox.
Now we don't have the yam class, but in addition we have 3 rotax classes, 2 more cadet classes. It needs simplifying, luckily you can run 3 cadet classes together, others you can't so easy.
