I've follwed this with interest as I ran Hewland's in the early 80's and they were great engines compared to the 70's IAME engines, however once the octane rating of pump fuel was lowered they became very unreliable compared to Parilla TT27's, etc. If I was you "marcy" I would get a BT82, it will work out a lot cheaper to run than an old rotary valve motor. For those (like me) who love the older motors, come along to Shenington in June to see the Historic karts :)
