Thanks for that very informative thread Dan I never realised about the difference relating to hot,cold,etc I know you set up a bit differently but didn't know it could all be factored in to the chassis. I was thinking on the lines,as Ian said,they are all coke bottle shapes what changes? You know kind of,they have reached the best they can with this design,why scrap it and get something similar? As for suits ,helmets and things what I meant was,as I said on another thread a few days ago I bought a Helmet for my son and it was 3 years old before it came out of the box,I was green and didn't realise it had a "use by date" at the time and it was effectively 1/3 of it's life "old" before being worn. yeah the suits i guess will wear out pretty quick.

And BTW I'm not trying to pick an argument or say the MSA is wrong it just seems a lot of useable kit seems to be scrapped at end of life, I suppose if there were more non MSA tracks around it would be picked up and used but thats the nature of the beast.
