@Steve66, Just replying to your last post about free licenses. I believe the MSA had this in place anyway for the first year in that it was included in the cost of your go racing pack and ARKS test. What MUK are offering is for an IKR organisation to be able to put established members into the system on-mass. I understand F100 did this over the summer. This is a great idea and indicates that MUK are becoming flexible in terms of the different types of racing that they want to promote. If you have previously held a license, you won't be able to benefit from the 'free' year.
On costs, we are in DRS and we're into our second year in a pre-owned Junior that cost us £1200 (kart and engine). We are on a very tight budget but still competitive, finishing 3rd in one of our heats last meeting and 9th overall out of 30.
