I found this on the Dunlop KartSport website:
"Store tyres in a cool and dark environment. Avoid high temperatures, direct sunlight, and electric motors and welding equipment which are a source of ozone. Clean off any contamination from fuel or oil immediately New tyre life will be improved if tyres are correctly 'scrubbed in'."
I found another dunlop kart tyre article but can no longer find it, it said the tyres are hydroscopic, which much like when you open a new jar of clear runny honey, eventually it will crystalize due to moisture absorption. This is why the tyres are sold in a wrapper, so for the cost of clingfilm, it makes your tyres last longer.
The direct sunlight thing is the UV also hardens the tyre.
My garage is mildly heated and never drops below 15DegC or so, so i leave them out there, i know many people that bring them indoors and leave them next to radiators, but when they get them out the oils have visibly sweated out, but dont get me wrong, people still win using either pet method.
