Hi Knighty

When I said the charges were the same, what I meant was a club engine sold to a novice is the same price as it would be if it were sold to the #1 team or #1 driver (no thte differing costs between tuners as each have their overheads and margins which is an individual thing to each).

I can understand your fruatration upon receiving your engine back in the condition it was received and yes PDIs should have been carried out but maybe they should have corrected the issues.

With your background I would have thought access to a dyno would provide results and makes sense to go this route.

Point I was trying to make is the percieved benefits of a top (used loosely) engine compared to an average engine will not translate to major grid place jumps but if the driver is on the money then they can start to have the results.

IMHO bottom line is if you can't afford to spend massive figures in karting (unless you luck into something) you will not have the massive engines so get used to working with what you have, works for us....sometimes :-) .
