+1 to Mr Ryanfield.....totally agree
last month at Buckmore my 10 year old lad and his 9 year old team-mate were knocking around in 46.8secs lap time in honda-clubman, they are both quite equal.....his team mate (on a 2016 P1) gave his engine to a 13 year old cadet in the same team (also on a 2016 P1) who wins and is a front runner, as the engine had just been re-built and they were keen to see what it could do.......he went out and was doing 46.2's for fun......quite impressive I must say, and just goes to show how much driver experience is a big big factor.
yep, by far my biggest expenditure for the past 2 years has been 1:1 driver coaching, for sure Rome was not built in a day, but we are making progress every time we hit the track, go-pro is absolutely essential......for sure we have the odd "off day"......but there is no substitute for good 1:1 tuition.
The last team we were at (KPi) also did some GPS tracking, immediately something wasnt right, whereby on every corner he was marginally slower than some team-mates, so we fitted some pedal sensors, and we deduced my lad was double-pedaling.......thanks to Andy Oxfordshire on this forum, I fitted a billy cable and fixed it.
My lads wet weather driving is now rather impressive......full credit to Ben & Adam Uren from BAB motorsport, Will from KPi and Connor Mills.
