Yes,countersink just one of the grub screws. Leave the grease in, it was made for the purpose.When the axle is spinning at x,000 rpm it will be operating perfectly. The thin bearing lubes are fine on the rose joints etc but most is gone within a lap, flicking out on one side all over the brake disc! WD 40? you might as well use butter for all the good it will do!
