Having read the auto-biography of both Lewis and Martin Hines, this also seems the case, its beyond any doubt he was "discovered" at rye-house
I must admit it makes me want to puke when you hear the previous Buckmore owner state that "Lewis hamilton was discovered here".....its just not the case, it was all Martin Hines at Rye-House.
also which track did Lewis re-visit with the BBC and David Coulthard on tow to re-cite his karting days?.....Rye-House.......
But ironically the on-track footage they show of Lewis racing is at Buckmore!!! what an editing cock-up!.....for sure he also raced at Buckmore a lot in cadets and juniors, so I guess Buckmore are trading on that, plus the money shot they have with Ron Dennis standing next to him, but like said above the wheels were well in motion well before then, and it all started at Rye-House
