my son got disqualified for this rule a few months back, he was on pole and was getting overtaken and pushed out wide over the rumble strip, he finished about 9th which was our best ever finish by far, but we were called to the clerks office and disqualified, at the time I wasnt too worried, but it annoyed me after for sure because there was a total lack of consistency of policing the run-off rule after the first morning session, in the later sessions I couldnt believe how many karts were getting away with running very wide and gaining a significant lap time advantage.

I did complain on e-mail to the WMKC club a few weeks ago about it, I got no response but I can imagine I'm not the only person complaining and it probably gets discussed at the committee meetings.

yes the rumble strip is going to knacker many karts and I think some form of track change is required, like painting a white line or bolting down more rumble strips on the run-off area, but at least there will now be a consistent rule, which was the main issue.
