The problem with reducing the number of classes is what do you do with drivers who are elbowed out? I can imagine the shrieks of horror on here if people find their equipment is untraceable at a stroke of a pen.

The helmet debate is one for another thread but don't fall into the trap of thinking that because your Bell is three times more expensive than an eBay one it is three times safer.

Clay IKR tried cheap Duro tyres and they wilted under the strain of 2-strokes. They still coast Ł70 per set.

There's a lot more to the "decline in kart racing" than the navel gazing here will put right. It needs a decent marketing campaign and a strong governing/organising body that isn't rooted in the past. Two things that aren't going to happen with the current administration.
