i think the lack of plaudits serves to illustrate the depth of "ani hamilton" feeling within the racing community.
why? i have no idea. my own f1 mad sons (i can take or leave it) will have been distraught. they literally hate hamilton.
similarly, when i WAS interested and mansell won it, James Hunt threw a wake and amongst the blazers and ties within the sport, this was probably just one of many.

most disturbing of all, immediately after the race report, the dailymail online had reams of really poisonous invective from f1 fans saying things like "wouldnt have done it if seb was his team mate" etc and thats one of the more polite ones. i really dont get it. whats he done thats so wrong?
