When you say the chassis runs for 9 years do you mean you can't race it once it's 9 years old? How do you even tell what age it is?

I've just got a 2008 project 1. Went to my local track at the weekend and all the others had a different style of side pod. Mine are square shaped and others rounded. I thought maybe they were newer but one guy said his was a 2004. Are mine non standard perhaps or from a different chassis?
